Here's a photo of a 1/2" NF die on the gearstick.

Now I have to add that my 1/2" 20tpi didn't fit.
The M12-1.5 also didn't fit.
I always thought UNF and NF was the same.

The rubber inside my LT77 and LT230 gear knobs have turned into some form of gooey stuff that is crumbling away.
For the main gearbox I have turned a 1/2" UNF nut and press fitted it into the gear knob. Now knob fits nicely on the gear stick. Still to do the transfer case knob wit an M10 nut.1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
