England 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey
had a service - and feel like I've had my bottom poked.
perhaps its just me.
the transit custom has just been in for its first service at 23,500 miles.

while in I asked if the foam strip that sits between the bumper and the intercooler which had started to drop away could be fitted back in place - but not to worry if its too much trouble Id do.

I was apprehensive about whether they do this or not - managed to have a quick look at the van after it came out of service and hey presto - its been fixed. well sort of - they just pulled it off leaving bits of sticky back foam and a gap that the foam use to fill.

when called up to pay I asked if they sorted the foam - yes all done and pushed back up....

it doesn't look like it to me I said and the service rep checked and confirmed it I had. I confirmed it had so the supervisor came to take a look. The outcome was obvious - it had been ripped off and presumably binned.

told them I wasn't happy and wanted in writting it would be sorted. which they did.

I then proceeded to do some checks before paying and this is what I find staggering - the £325 service doesn't include a new air filter !!!!!

I'm told its good for 50k miles ! Confused

maybe it is but I'll be buying one all the same and fitting it.
