a bit of a long shot.
just wondering if there's any flooring experts on here just waiting to do a latex / self-leveling screed for me in the Birmingham suburbs ? ......like yesterday?  |

yes - wishful thinking
so basically its screed floor that has had a 'self-levelling' screed finish already applied. however its not level - there are ups and downs. it would appear the 'self-levelling' is also referred to as a smoothing finish? any how the way I see it, it needs a watered down self-levelling finish applied, so it does actually self-level 
I've loosely put the wood floor down with spacers underneath. I'm tempted to leave the spacers where they are and do a watery mix upto the spacers / around them and perhaps simply leave them in place? I'm not sure I'd be confident doing the whole lot but can't see why I couldn't do a section at a time? |

Just a builder, so not an expert!
You will need to prime the unlevel sub layer. Your spacers/packers will need fixing down. The levelling will shift them Buy a good quality levelling compound. If you can get a studded roller this will help with getting a smooth result. Good luck, it’s a filthy task and everything in range gets splashed! |
