2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Stornoway Grey

Catalunya, Spain.......

I'm organising a couple of trips for myself & my wife for next year. Now I admit it's for motorcycle trips, not the Defender, but I wanted to ask the forum's advice

Catalunya, Spain.....anyone any recommendations of areas to stay/avoid etc? We'd rather not stay in Barcelona itself, but would like to be able to park up the bike after we've been out and go for a wander on foot to a bar/restaurant etc. Coastal would be nice, but not essential.

We're going for the Catalan MotoGp end of May/beginning of June, so would like to be within reasonable distance for that too (within about 20/30 miles max if poss)

If no hotel/B&B recommendations, then any ideas/tips of areas to try/avoid etc would be really helpful.

Local advice is normally best advice.

Try asking on the Spanish Land Rover FORUM

Unfortunately no English speaking section. However, if you are not fluent in Spanish talk nicely to Barbara and she may be willing to help out.

I don't know much about the region, but I can speak Spanish fairly well... Living out in Spain for a year if you need any help translating or getting things started on their forum.

Thanks chaps (and for the offer of help xatzhs).....I may go down that route if I can't find anyone directly, if that makes sense?

I've got a bit of time, so not too urgent just yet. Quite nice starting to plan stuff like this so far in advance, rather than my normal trick of 2 weeks beforehand!
