Alternator connection
Good morning all,
My landrover Defender alternator needs changing, I have it, but unfortunately a well meaning friend helped extract the falty one and yanked the cable connection in the process, and sent the whole thing away to be replaced.
All the Connectors I have seen have three wires coming out ,and yes there are only two on my vehicle.Is it possible that there are only two wire connections?

Only two wires used.

Pin 1 brown/yellow.
Pin 2 white/green
Pin 3 not used.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
2015 D90 XS SW
