Up for sale is this lovely bit of retro kit for the front of a Land Rover Defender.
It consists of a standard Land Rover bumper with the addition of the official LR / OEM accessory winch tray specifically for the Warn 8274 winch fitment. Both galvanised underneath the black paint. This setup was used on the factory press demonstrators, Camel Trophy vehicles and numerous MOD derivatives such as the 127 Rapier Missile Tractors throughout the 80's and early 90's. Also mounted on the bumper is a LR branded DB tow pin. The winch itself is the classic and capable Warn 8274, fitted with Warn synthetic rope. Its recently had a new Warn control box and hawse fairlead fitted and is complete with the original remote control. It works well, however the freespool lever is seized, a common 8274 problem but doesn't affect the fundamental winch operation. The winch comes with the genuine Warn Powered Solenoid Interupt kit which is required to install as per factory. This provides an illuminated dash switch to disconnect the power to the winch without needing a manual cut-off key. In summary, this is everything you need to fit and operate this classic setup and is ideal for anyone wanting to replicate the official factory vehicles from a great era of Land Rover vehicles. The bumper alone is a rare bit of kit these days, never mind being grouped with all the other components which are all in good operational condition. Only selling due to taking up too much space Collection only due to size and weight.
