Place / forum to sell knifes
Bought a Boker Tirpitz which has sat in a draw since buying it...

Would like to move it on, any suggestions where to advertise it? anybody on here fancy one?

It's a knife crafted from salvaged steel from the WW2 battleship the Tirpitz...

Kinda stumped where to advertise it?

Are you confusing theTirptz with the Graf Spee, by any chance?

Impressive knife, I like the raindrop Damascus but not the price!

Yeah - I mean how often do you come across steel from the tirpitz? Looking for about half that price...

Scrap metal from old wrecks is valuable enough just as 'pre-atomic'/low background steel! 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread

It is a beautiful and highly collectible item without a doubt. I'd love to own it, but even at half the price it would end up between my shoulder-blades if I was found out! Rolling with laughter

If it was steel from Bismarck or Hood, then I'd be very tempted despite the price, or for that matter Prince of Wales or Repulse, but Tirpitz hardly had a distinguished operational record.

Don’t know if your a member Liam, but the Stalking Directory forum would find this irresistible. If your not a member I think you can buy ads as you can on here.

Have a search for the Bushcraft Tradepost UK on Facebook, usually high end knives for sale on their. Just don’t refer to it as a knife in the advert or FB will delete it

It is a thing of beauty but personally I am not sure about converting part of what is in effect a war grave into retail items.
According to Wikipedia between 950 and 1204 souls lost their lives when she capsized.
I have zero sympathy for anything the Nazi leadership stood for, but most of the crew onboard were no doubt young men who had little choice but to serve their country.

Not fashionable but perhaps the greatest of them all HMS Warspite.. should have been in a dry dock somewhere ..i would pay a few hundred notes for a knife made from her!

On the other hand, it could be seen as a way of remembering them, each and every time you hold the knife.

I think the tirpitz was broken up for scrap by the Norwegians during the first decade after the war ..the bodies were interred in German war cemetery. I dont think its an official war grave!which country wants a reminder of a foreign occupation and evil empire left of the coast of their shores ..it was rightly broken up to fill the coffers of the Norwegians after the war and rightly so!
