The plastic inner wheel arch under the front wing, how do you get it off? I've removed the obvious nuts and screws and the wheel arch itself (broke every one of the silly plastic button clips) but there seems to be another row of fixings at the very top edge of the plastic inner wing that I can't get to. I thought about taking the wing off but I can't get to the bolts on the same place the plastic cover fixings are.
I wanted to get it off because I still have oil dripping off the back of it and I want to see where it's coming from. It might be residual oil from last week's leak but it seems to be reasonably constant. Thanks. |

I managed to get mine undone around the air intake without removing the pipework but couldn't manage to refit one of the clips - just not quite enough clearance.

Are we talking the same thing. The black inner wing that stop mud and spray going into the engine bay.
Are you saying there are fixings that need to be removed from the dry inside area? Also what about the air filter box on the offside front. Do the 6 rivets need to be drilled out? My problem is the need to repair/replace the brake pipe that goes under the inner wing shield and along the chassis a bit before a load of complicated bends to get to the brake servo. I need to remove the shield to be able to get a pipe flaring tool in to make an in-line pipe joint. "You are never to old to learn something new" |
