Took it to the steelers today to supposedly investigate/carry out software update.
“All done sir your car’s outside ready for you valeted & washed.”
To my amazement (or not ) car saying update did not install. ( Tech couldn’t be bothered to see check whether it had worked or not )

Was told that I needed to book it in for a full day again next week.

So the plot thickens, took the Defender to the dealers again today for for the software update investigation/installation and a couple of other bits doing.
Went to pick it up, the other bits need doing again. Asked whether the software update had been done service clerk said he would get the key and we would go and check. ( are you keeping up ? )
I started the car and there it was “ update did not install “.
The service clerk rang the technician and asked him to come out to the car , he said that he had carried out a plug in full reset/ update of the system and that the screen said software update completed.
So now waiting for the other bits to arrive again so I can book it in for a 4 day stay at the dealers.
Think I’ve bought a pup
