Oil leak

New to me 300tdi 90 (1998). This oil leak seems fairly localised. There is a lot of oil on the engine but I have no idea how long it has been leaking so no real indication right now of how bad it really it.

Job for the weekend will be to remove the acoustic cover and give everything a good clean so I can see what's, what and try and identify where it is coming from.

In advance of that, does anyone have any pointers as to what this may be? Thanks in advance

And this is the car BTW. Unexpected purchase. Went out on Sunday nigh for a pizza and came back with this. Wife was delighted. I did get the pizza as well.

1998 Defender 110 300 Tdi SW Alpine White

Looks like rocker cover and or oil drain pipe, change both, may as well do a valve set while your there.

Found the culprit. Split in the breather hose the connect to the rocker cover.
A set of silicone replacement hoses on the way
