Hi
Does anyone happen to have the striker location as mine have been totally torn off and have bent the panel so I think my measurements will be a bit off, and I want to drill the holes in the right place on the replacement pieces. Cheers Click image to enlarge |

Is this for the front and is it the same as a 90?
If yes to both I’ll pop out and measure |

That is great thank you is the striker bit actually straight as the bolts on the broken bit that cam off don’t seem to be quite in line but this may just be from it getting bent. Cheers |

Yes thank you I will have to compare the measurements tomorrow to see what I get. I don’t reckon the strikers on mine were put on square then as they were definitely wonky on the “b” post where the striker mounts as the rubberised coating mark makes it look like they weren’t square at all.
Is there any possibility at all that you could measure from the seam under the seal to the centre of each of the bolts for me as that is a easier reference point on the replacement panels I have. No worries though if it’s too much of a pain. Cheers |

Hope this is what you meant?
It’s 47mm from the outside face of the seam to the centre of the bolt on the top fixing, and 45mm on the bottom fixing. I used a straight edge on the seam to measure but need 3 hands if I were to take a photo with that in the picture! Click image to enlarge |

No problem - it gave me an excuse to have a poke around the general area with my small paintbrush and ACF50
Yes it’s a ‘bit out’ but WELL WITHIN the legendary tolerances of a Defender I recall that the holes in the panel are larger than the bolt (set screw) diameter, to allow adjustment, as there’s a backing plate with captive nuts. It might be better if someone on the forum can measure a panel that hasn’t got the striker plate attached as you’ll want to do it once and do it right - unlike LR… Good luck 🤞 |

There is easily enough play for the holes to be dead straight. There's quite a bit of adjustment due to the size of the holes on mine (about 5mm from one extreme to the other side to side and up and down) |
