This is the stuff I spayed on mine.
No real prep, just 2 thickish coats. I don’t know how long it’ll last , but it was dead easy.

I agree, galv works for me. I have sprayed mine with Lanoguard as whilst galv is good, anything near the spray off a wheel is like an intermittent salt spray test.

Open design (some) also allows you to more easily change/maintain shocks and bushes 👍
