Took mine for a major service and MOT. Passed without any issues and has had all the fluids changed. Should be good for another 5000 miles or so until the next one in a year's time! Taking it for a full dinitrol / dynax treatment next week, so I hope it is feeling grateful at the moment! I doubt very much that it is - but I love it anyway. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

MTB transport for the muddiest, wettest night ride in ages.
Heated seats on for the journey home - toasty! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

Fitted new Wipac crystal headlamps. Pretty easy job, but it's worth noting that the ones with the pilot lights (which I bought) do not fit vehicles with headlamp levelling! This is because the pre-wired grommet for the pilot fouls on the levelling motor.
Got around it by cutting it down, but this means no pilots, which is half the reason I bought the lights in the first place! The standard sidelights are IMHO just plain dangerous round here, where it's semi-dark most of the time in winter. It *may* be possible to wire the pilots in differently (currently looking at a home-modified L-shaped grommet) but I'll have to wait and see. Anyway, first impressions on the dip beams is that there's significantly more light on the road, with a sharper cutoff. The old bowls looked like the kind of glass you put in bathroom windows to stop the neighbours peeping! Oh and the new bowls look really smart |

Picked mine up from Lancasters - it has had the rear door motor and lock replaced, new handbrake drum and shoes and a new seat back and base.
And they washed it too John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |

I've been very pleased with them so far. I've bought three Defenders from them and had no complaints (touches wood). John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |

One less than you having bought two and always had a great service. What I liked apart from the general service is that they started conversations with a decent discount not at list price. Nick 2.2 110 Tipper |
