Clean the counter bores and injector seats scrupulously clean. Any carbon buildup will lead them to leak again prematurely > 110 XS Double Cab

NOTE: Note the position of the fuel injector clamp. NOTE: Re use bolt only once Torque stage 1: 6Nm, Stage 2: 360° Hope this makes sense Xxx. Possible correction. xxx On the general spec sheet for the ID4 2.2 engine the stage 2 is given as 180 Hopefully someone who has changed the injectors will be along to give you the correct Stage 2. Sorry for the less than helpful reply. |

A curious remark! Does that mean the bolts can be used twice in total, or is it sloppy writing (sadly common in recent LR publications) intended to say "do not reuse the bolts'? |

Exact wording copied from page 579 of my electronic version.
The heading helpfully states “ Removal steps may contain installation instructions” To add further confusion the Haynes manual states that the torque for the clamp bracket bolts is: Stage 1 7Nm Stage2. Angle tighten a further 180 Need to lie down in a dark room ![]() |

Thanks for the info Hank, when you say clean how would you suggest cleaning them? Brake cleaner or would the solvent damage them. Sorry for asking obvious question but never had anything to do with injectors before. |

I think you're spot on 7Nm then 180 degrees.
A friend who owns (and was 'hands on' for very many years) a diesel injection business always repeat always anneals the copper washers before fitting them - no matter who's manufacture, what colour packet, OEM or not it just ensures they will seal. HTH Keith |

Finally got around to doing this the other day, straight forward enough. Because our truck lives off road a lot of the time the only issue was cleaning the crud off around the injectors / clamps.
