ya they were warped beyond repair... not sure how they got so warped but it was bad. But, I think I found a good set from Legends Overland, expensive as heck but worth it if they fit and are made well, which he said they are : https://legends-overland-global-parts-stor...amp;_v=1.0 1989 Defender 90

My originals, from 1988 are not so straight either. I always know them as such.. and I own the 90 since 1994. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Been there, done that.
The TF arches are poor quality and poor fit - I never managed to get them to fit in the end and chucked them in the skip. Ended up painting my originals satin black. Rgds. Chris |

if you're OK with used Genuine Parts arches, why not just post a wanted ad here for some? A lot of people will be fine shipping them and being honest, its no more difficult for a seller to send something to the US than it is to send it to London. We normally just use parcel2go.com
Being old and crusty, the value can be declared low so that import taxes aren't too high. That way you can have them fitted as-is or you could have them resprayed. If you offered to return the favour for someone wanting parts from the US I'm sure you'll find someone that can help. |
