U I've had a couple of snotty anti bike motorists mutter about "not paying road tax" before - I really have to bite my tongue seeing as we're shelling out not far off £700 on it!! Right, how much is a Toyota Pious? Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

Road tax for a 110 Defender is almost £900 in Sweden, completely outrageous.

And yet the roads are immaculate. Admitedly twice the space for the same population and so the roads are less used. We're off to outside Dieppe on Friday. €7 each way for clear, smooth motorway all the 120 miles. That way we pay for what we're using. I for one would like for Road Tax to be calculated in a more intelligent way, certainly taking account of emissions but also useage and perhaps other cars in the family. |
