Good Morning all,
I am hosting a London Defender meet up this coming Thursday from 6:30pm at Belgrave Square with timfoster_ldn. This is the first central London meet we've hosted so would be great to have a good turnout. Appreciate that some cars will be affected by ULEZ/LEZ. Everyone is welcome and we plan to do convoy photo on The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace later in the evening. No sign-up required, just turn up! Hopefully see you there. Sadly will be too expensive for me with the Congestion Charge and ULEZ on top
Good luck with the meet |

It's not within the congestion charge zone but is within ULEZ.
Fully understand if you can't attend. Instagram @LandRoversofLondon www.instagram.com/landroversoflondon |

^^^ You won’t be able to drive your pride and joy within the M25, but you’ll be able to forget all about it by smoking some weed. Kahn and his priorities, eh…. Monsieur Le Grenadier

Unless it’s changed, and I appreciate I’ve not done a Guard change at Buck since 2004, but Buck House, the ‘Birthday Cake’ (The Victoria Memorial), the Mall, Birdcage Walk and Constitution Hill are all firmly within the Congestion Zone. I know, because the cameras are situated right on the Corner between Wellington Barracks and Buck, and despite the camp entrance being only 100m beyond them, I’d have to pay every time I arrived for a Guard ceremony. And as I usually arrived in a rush at 0700 and likely late for final rehearsal, I often forgot. Obviously this is not the same thing as timings, and with the cut off being 1800h on weekdays your gathering is comfortably after that. But just in case any of your attendees planned on coming a little early and doing some DIY sight seeing, those areas (NOT including Belgrave Sq) are definitely WITHIN the CZ. Check out Tim Foster's youtube channel for full video of the event (Link below). Awesome to get so many Defenders driving down the Mall. As congestion charge finishes at 6pm the cars weren't affect.

Great to see it was such a success. I’ll certainly be up for joining in next time, if I’m back with the DC. Given where you were, I hope you finished with a pint in my namesake pub, the Grenadier on Wilton Crescent, to reclaim it from Sir Jim and Ineos Monsieur Le Grenadier
