You are right, the red arrow is the bolt-on mid body crossmember which supports the rear of the sills and the rear seat hinges.
The blue arrow is the transverse underfloor support which connects to the longitudinal floor stiffeners and also carries the rear seatbelt inertia reels. (see here for replacement https://yrmit.co.uk/product/underfloor-sup...eries-lwb) The midbody x-member is a fairly easy swap, the underfloor support is a fairly serious undertaking to replace. It is spot welded and riveted to the underside of the floor and structure. I am not sure you could easily change one of these without cutting up the rear floor or totally removing the rear tub. Be aware that the other rear tub floor supports are probably also rotten like mine were! They all fill with muck and rot from the inside. These photos show how bad mine were (didnt seem bad until the tub came off) and gives an idea of the makeup of the rear floor structure. The long one at the top most of the pics is the one you arrowed blue.

I ordered a mid crossmember from YRM this morning, but I’m not sure I’ve ordered the right thing. I had a MOT failure on “Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength Nearside Rear (Outrigger)”. I’ll have to ask them which one they mean.
That’s an impressive floor repair! Did you fabricate the supports or buy them all from YRM? —————————— 2004 110 TD5 |

Cheers, all YRM bits. Bonded and countersunk riveted. Was a bit more of a faff on mine as its a double cab and has the bulkhead behind the rear seats which i had to extract the old floor from and slide the new one in.
You can usually see a yellow mark on any areas where the MOT tester has identified corrosion. I would have thought it would be a push describing either of those crossmembers as within the suspension mounting prescribed area (seatbelt or body mount yes). I've slowly been doing this job on my 110 DC, I think it would have been a lot easier to do the floor replacement with the tub off.... All my parts were bought from YRM, everything fitted within Land Rover tolerances...

I took the Defender back to the MOT chap earlier and he put it over the pit to show me. It’s definitely the mid crossmember he meant (marked with the red arrows in my photos). Having said that, the floor support is obviously poor so I’m going to have some head scratching to do before I work out what to do with that. ——————————
