Fox Shocks Remote Res with adjusters C/D Experience
Looking at purchasing Fox Shocks (+2) Remote Res with adjusts both front and rear. It's for a 110 TD5 of which is used as a daily, as well as for some pretty serious off roading.

Has anyone had these and had them for a while? do they last? i've heard they are prone to corrosion which i was surprised about and now can't get that out of my head.

Has anyone used them for heavy off roading? I'm looking to get as much flex as possible, what set up did you have and did it work well?

Pin/Pin set up on the rear? concerned about strain on the top eye mount when flexing. anyone have a product number for this?

has anyone had these for a good few years, it would be great to hear from you and find out your long term review on them, wanting to make sure they're as good as everyone says they are and if they stay good for years to come. i've heard a lot of people switching back to others which are longer lasting.

Hi welcome to the forum. Try the search button at the top middle of the home screen , several here have them fitted, I have the non adjustable ones and really like them but don’t off roading but on tarmac well impressed Thumbs Up 2015 HT XS 90

Thanks! I’ve been searching all eve, trying to find out specific bits about them. How long have you had them for? Any signs of corrosion/wear?

I have non Adjustable ones. Great performance but the rears are vulnerable without the protectors that LikeOMG links to on his thread. I had one exchanged under warranty as the stone chips were so bad, so bought the protectors and now no issues.

I was recommended them whilst talking to prolinx, sounds like a no brainer. I’m also going to get the main bodies wrapped in a clear vinyl protection to help prevent the pebble dash ally powdering effect everyone seems to get.

Sounds like they have a good warranty then! This sounds like a common issue, but so far the only one! Are you lowered/gone through alive tuning’s kit or still use the landy offroad? Whats the articulation like?

Hi, I have Fox 2.0 adjustable remote reservoir all round on my 90. I'm very impressed with the comfort and handling. I would definitely recommend them. I've had them for just over a year (circa 5000 miles) and they are still in good condition. My truck is not used off road apart from the occasional track. So I cant comment on off road performance and wear. I had the Bilstein B6 before and found them a bit harsh and crashy on anything more than flat tarmac. The Fox's are far superior!

Which side of the strut tower did you exit with the Res hose? Fitted mine last night but currently now trying to find a good location for the reservoirs each side. Nearside appears vastly simpler than offside.

I've had Fox 2.0 x 12" Emulsion on my 100" Bowler since 2007ish with around 60,000 miles on them.
Mixed use from commute and rapid road use to green laning in all seasons and rally course-closing car.

They have heim joints top and bottom which are greased and last well.

They were serviced back in 2016 and had flutter valving with different pistons fitted which made a big difference to ride quality on pave and similar, although they were excellent before.

Not convinced that remote reservoirs are needed unless you are racing, similarly with the compression/rebound adjusters.

Observations?
Keep them clean and occasional spray of WD40 or similar.
Use check straps to limit axle travel, do not expect the dampers to do this job.
The ride and handling mean it is very easy to keep up with cars even on fast A roads so be sure your brakes and especially tyres are up to the job.
