Any ideas on key fob refurb ?

Rubber casing is coming apart or is it best to buy new ones .

The rubber seems to part company with the underlying plastic case no matter what you do. Glueing doesn’t appear to work and you need to separate the case halves to replace the battery.

I had a look for a suitable silicon cover instead and use something like this https://amzn.eu/d/hIrk2YW. Works just fine and isn’t too bulky. Dave

I assume the key type you are refering to the "long chrome strip" type :

Part numbers LR078922 or C2D49508 can provide a back, chrome strip, key ring clip and silicone gasket, the front button panel is designed for the 4 button Disco/RR/Evoque, and while it will not be an "exact" copy of the original key fob, (it has a gloss Land Rover logo back) it will refresh your fob if the damage is to the back, or chrome strip.

I'll try to take some images to illustrate the diffrences Zaid-M

I have not used them (yet), but they seem to get good reviews on trustpilot... https://www.shop.carkeyssolutions.co.uk/pr...2014-2016/

Following previous advice from The Zee Bow down I repaired a fob.

The front of the case was broken and the rubber peeled off the back.
I fitted the circuit board in a 5 button case, blacked out 3 buttons and made the 4th look more like 'unlock' than 'lights'

It's a shame the 2 button case isn't available as spares, only a complete fob that needs programming into the car.
