Hi,
Does anyone have a spare tow ball lying around? Ideally I am after a combination one but a basic would do for now. Black if possible Thanks in advance & I can arrange collection too! |

Can you replace a ball type with a ball/pin type?
We have this: Click image to enlarge But I rather like these -better for towing cars out of ditches I believe?! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

Okay - from where may I be able to purchase said item? Mine's in next week for a few bits and bobs so I might ask them too. New light surrounds, new boot floor carpety grabber bit (it's corroding like hell), new crossmember bolts, a good Waxoyling and some more roof sealing. Should hopefully see us through the Winter... Most towing / trailer places sell them. The cheaper ones come with tow ball as part of the removable pin and the stronger / dearer ones with a seperate pin and the ball is part of the main bracket. For recovery you should get a rated hitch (3.5t). As said earlier I am selling my new Dixon Bate hitch for £50 if you're interested. Used twice and cost me £80 a few months ago. It is this one; http://www.dixonbate.co.uk/towing/product.asp?PartNo=202014 John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |

I've got brand new unused LR-original tow ball mounting bolts (because I used a STIG kit on mine)...but I am a long way away unless you're holidaying in Scotland soon. Free to collect as well Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)
