France 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS DCPU Zermatt Silver
Won't start - relay and temp gauge clues
Turning the the ignition on, the ABS relay clicks like crazy, glow plug light does not come on, and temp gauge goes up off the scale (has not been driven for a few days, so certainly not a temp problem!). Turning key all the way does not initiate starter motor.

Removing the ABS relay does not help.

Replacing the ABS and main relays with the aircon relays gives exactly the same results.

Any ideas what the problem can be? What can I check next?

Thanks.

Going through the same thing myself currently https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic84542.html started as intermittent and then overnight a complete failure to turn the starter motor. You can see what I've done so far, spent about 25 hours on it an no further forward. I'm beginning to think the vehicle is immobilised. Same for me no glow plug lights. 2007 TDCi 90 XS

Either main relay under drivers seat has corroaded terminals or connector on rear of instrument cluster not making good contact

Check inline fuse P110 under the wiring loom under seat. Mine was making bad contact, cleaned and now starting.
