As with a lot of Defender updates, retro fitting the dash into an earlier model is possible. If it is worth the cost and trouble is the big question?
The wiring and switches are all different, so there will be a lot of work to connect it up and get it working again. Many of the plastic moulded parts are different, not just the obvious front plate. Some cannot be bought new anymore and secondhand parts are surprisingly expensive. Then when it is done, the 'new' dash will have to be modified to fit a 'double din' size modern radio head unit. It would be much easier and cheaper to fit the Mud centre console and fit a radio in that. https://www.mudstuff.co.uk/collections/das...er-console |

As already stated I too think it would be easier to install a MUD UK console. The main dash cluster is OEM (VDO) with green backlight bulbs however T they’re just aluminum rings off fleaBay around them. And the console gauges are VDO Vision Series.
