Triangulae plate that holds rear crossmember

Anyone that knows whether the triangular shaped with a triangular hole in and rounded endsupporting rear crossmember upper is available to buy? Im removing the rear crossmember and cut the left one before i saw that its not welded on, on my new. Or is it just to fabricate one or find a scrap rear crossmember to get it from. My reat end chassi is looking good so im hopefully going to exchange just the crossmember. Land Rover owner since 2003

The part (proper name is crossmember closing plate) has never been available as a retail item. When I used to fit crossmembers I would do it the proper way with a bare crossmember so I managed to purchase a quantity of these closing plates from DDS (I think) who used to manufacture the aftermarket crossmembers for Britpart etc.

Most people just use the crossmembers with extentions which to me is a right bodge so well done for doing it the proper way!

Regarding my crossmember change, i dont want a cut off and welded on a joint when its only my crossmember thats bad. Land Rover owner since 2003

I've just bought a part from DDS (the crush tubes for the ends of the crossmember). They're primarily a business to business supplier but they will sell retail - its just a bit slow in getting a reply. I struggled by email but calling them direct saw the part delivered the next day - so if you don't get a reply by email, don't dispair and just give them a call.

Yes, I'll give them a call tomorrow. Btw. How thick is the chassi from start?Steel quality? Its a bit corrosion in the rear from cabin to the end. Flake rust. Don't know the english word. So i have to measure the end steel if I have to exchange some parts in end of the chassi. I want it to be safe to tow heavy with it. Land Rover owner since 2003
