Rear view mirror tilt?
This probably isn't Puma-specific and it's probably a stupid question but here goes...
For the first time in six months I tried to tilt the rear view mirror for glare-free night driving (like in other cars...) and the angle is completely wrong! It doesn't matter where I sit (up, down, forward, back) I cant see anything but the headliner or the floor (don't remember which).
It's just wrong. Am I missing something?
Cheers

Have you tried when it's dark or just in daylight? Can'y say I've tried mine but on previous vehicles I've had it was only effective in the dark MY11 110 XS Station Wagon in Stornoway

Bloody thing's looking the wrong way! Laughing
Anyway, I checked my mirror which just tilts too far. What's the suggestion for a non-vibrating replacement? Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

Just to say I have found the same with my mirror - the tilt function is totally useless!
And to compound the problem, the lever is stiffer than the ball-joint (if you know what I mean) - so moving the lever tends to just move the whole mirror anyway. Mad

That's what's been happening with mine - the whole mirror is actually moving when you pull the lever. The one in my old Td5 was fine though, and exactly the same? I guess one needs to er, dry out one's ball joint.

Also thinking about fitting an auto-dimming one from a Disco - anyone done that?

I have an auto-dipping mirror with map lights in my 110, got it from a RRC many years ago. When I get lights from behind, it dips Thumbs Up

Nice moggy Wink

Have you adjusted the mirror after you flicked the 'dip', it could be that it's adjusted the wrong way around?

Black tinted windows reduce glare...you just look like a drug baron!

Tried every constellation so far. I just seems there is too much travel in the lever so it goes past where it should stop. Will play a bit more later but have already ebayed a self dimmer just to try out Very Happy Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
