Second key fob for new Defender
Not sure if this is ever monitored by LR any more?

How long do your customers have to wait for their second key fob when picking up their new Defenders?

Better to contact them direct by PM or on one of their social media channels. Even just sending them a link to this thread by PM will get you a quicker response than just posting here. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Hot off the press

We are delivering a lot of cars with only one key fob, otherwise we would be delivering half the cars we are. We can certainly give you a letter to confirm that we owe you a key, as to the time it will take, I can’t give you a forecasted date, we are in Land Rover’s hands. Our service keeps a weekly check on bulletins from Land Rover.

Hmmmmmm… LRCEC don’t appear to be overly helpful in this matter

I can imagine little as frustrating as holding a "we owe you a key" letter when you've just lost your key or it has become unserviceable for some reason.

I appreciate that there are genuine supply problems but other manufacturers seem to manage without making themselves a laughing stock. What is going on at LR at the moment? Does no-one in a senior position have any clue at all?

I don’t think that they even bother to monitor these forums anymore Blackwolf?

A few years back they appeared to be very helpful in resolving forum members questions, concerns and problems. Now it appears that they either don’t bother looking at them or just can’t be bothered to help…
