Hey all,
I've been diving through all kinds of different threads in here but am still a little foggy. I'm curious for a Series 3 without a lift or body mods, what sort of wheel / tire options and combos work best without causing rub and what sizes max out the stock setup? I'm basically between the Wolf wheels with their -20mm offset and these 8x16 deepset steel wheels with 0 offset. ( https://www.nakatanenga.de/en/vehicle-equi...&c=299 ) My big question is if you were to run 8x16 wheels without offset, would you get rub with fatter tires like a 265 or 285/75r16? Also for height, can you run a 255/85r16 comfortably or does it look goofy maxing out the wings? Also toying with different tires, like goodyear wranglers, bfg km3, or cooper discoverers, but curious to hear what other combos people have been using and liking. Thanks! |

Anything wider than 750-16 makes the steering too heavy and puts undue strain on the lower steering column.
750-16 on Wolfs is a good combination but you definitely need extended wheel studs on a Series 3. |

One-Tons ran on 9.00x16 tyres and did not have PAS.

Fwiw I have run 265’s on a LR without PAS and it is fine as long as you don’t try to steer with the vehicle stationary. They do work just bear in mind the vehicle needs to be moving to steer

That is because they had a lower ratio steering box |

I ran 33x10.50s on my s3 lightweight for a few years with no problem (other than needing 6 inch wider arches)
