Hello,
I picked up my new Defender 90 X Dynamic SE yesterday, and I'd had a Ghost 2 fitted before I collected. I then drove to the fitters workshop to re-program the access code from the basic code they'd originally put in. The Ghost 2 system allowed the car to start, with the key within the car, but as soon as "Drive" was selected, and an attempt to pull away was made, the engine cut out and wouldn't drive. In the UK, the Autowatch company advertise fitment at a standard price (currently around £450) but the fitters told me that the fitment to the new Defenders required extra relays, and it cost £599. It works fine (so far!) on my car. |

Gearbox lock option on my BMW Hybrid with the Ghost system. Easy to reprogram. Didn't go for the app as I saw this as a weakness with a really clever system.
Works well but you need to allow a second or two on the BMW when putting the code in. (Maybe BMW slow to activate the buttons?) |

We have just picked our new defender up and had heard a few bad reports of the Ghost so we went for the Can Phantom and we are so far really pleased and would recommend it

Would be interesting to know the bad reports. Someone said it could be cracked but never said how it could be cracked as it requires button input.
My BMW is a hybrid and it works faultless. |
