Battery Drainage - Central Locking
Hi guys,

been scrolling through a few similar topics on this forum, but to be honest i haven't found anything similar to resolve my problem, so long story short.

I have TD5 110 2006, and from very beginning when I bought the car it had problems with central locking, it was burning a fuse under a seat when using CL with remote, however this didn't happen lately since im using only a key.

When car is left for more than 3 day battery goes completely flat, I have measured the loads when car is turned off and its reading 2 Amps, which is a looot and way too much for immobiliser and clock.

Then I have systematically unplugged relays and the load dropped significantly when got to the central locking relay under dash. Took it apart measured it, it worked fine. And loads after stayed at normal nominal level (i think arund 2-3 miliamps)

Any ideas what to do next and/or if this has anything to do with burning fuses, because just today I had again flat battery.

Thanks.

Guess that you need to isolate which unit stays energized when locked. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black

Start with the drivers door actuator as I had problems with my CL before and the drivers door unit is the main controller of the system.

The "master" door should be whichever is the drivers door, so LHR or RHD it'll change sides.
