Update.
Not the carpark but a pub this time. My daughter had driven her and a friend to a nearby pub in the 90 (she was not drinking). A man came in and asked her if that was her 90 parked outside. She said it was. He told her he had parked his New Defender 90 beside her 300 tdi. He said he used to have a td5 90 which he loved. Unfortunately his wife didn't like driving it so it went, to be replaced with a New Defender 90. He loves it and his wife does too.
He said he got a phone call from Land Rover offering to buy his New Defender for £9,500 more than he paid for it. They said if he sold it to them they would put him on a list for a new one...in 18 months time! He declined the offer. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
