Defenders while touring in Norway
This Black beauty 110 Puma on Lithuanian plates outside our hotel in Forde, Norway yesterday Have seen lots of Defenders, old and new styles over the last 3 days here, usually going in the opposite direction, but this is the first stopped long enough to snap!

Yesterday we pulled into a tiny, very rough (I must remember I’m driving a Corolla and not any form of Defender) layby on the side of a spectacular lake and as we were packing up I heard the unmistakable engine note of a TD5 powered LR……… an Austrian couple in another Black Defender laden with camping gear, expedition rack laden with aluminum boxes awning on the side pulled in behind us. Much to my travelling companion’s horror I did what most Landy owners do had a chat and took a photo.
Austrian registered, you’ve come a long way etc etc… actually not come direct from Austria we drove the U.K. first then took the ferry from Harwich to Rotterdam! NC500 driven? Yes, but it was awful, even more motorhomes and caravans than here, it’s totally ruined and, you know, some of the drivers are so rude and we were hugely disappointed by the amount of litter and piles of what looked like chemical toilet disposal………….. we’ve done it we won’t be back we’ll explore the islands next time. Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed On my behalf!
Anyway another foreign Defender for the gallery!

We have actually seen a lot of Defenders but always on the roads, Series Landies aren’t so common but TD5’s, Pumas and New Defender are aplenty.
This black 110 was parked across the road from our hotel in Tromso yesterday

And this Swiss registered 90 Puma is in the hotel car park at Alta tonight. I chatted to the owners who have drive it all the way from Switzerland this summer and who are serial Defender and previous generation Landy owners.

Not a Defender today but a Disco5 from Romania, parked in the hotel car park where we stayed the last two nights. We have seen quite a few D5’s headed toward North Cape. Also saw a strange camper conversion on a previous generation 110 pick up, on Dutch plates

We have seen plenty of Defenders on the road but not many stopped to photograph. We had seen this one in a few places in the far north but today it was waiting in the ferry queue at Borgness. On German plates and looks a bit of a bitza

England 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 Adventure Phoenix Orange
Spotted this nice 110 in Eidfjord while on a cruise around the Norwegian Fjords last week. Black seems to be the favoured colour in Norway,
