2012 Defender 130 Puma 2.2 HCPU Indus Silver

HCU tub front bracket captivated nuts

So I’ve just welded in some plates to the front of the 130 HCPU second hand tub, I managed to get hold of about 4 months ago. It was not easy due to the welds continually cracking due to expansion issues, but I got there in the end.
I’ve got a bit more to do tomorrow (21/06/22) and the weather is looking good, but I’m just wondering if anyone knows the official method for captivating the nuts for the brackets (KVU101420) on the front of the tub.
Here is a photo of the bracket close to its final position. It’s the hole on the vertical face and the nut is captivated somehow in the channel.

I could just weld a stainless nut to a small piece of 1mm plate and bend it round the panel to fit, but I was wondering what the official method was and if there is a, “captive nut” available.

From memory it was a nut welded onto a plate approx 60mm x 15mm. M10?

I used to have bags of them from when Roger Young fitted cherry pickers to HiCaps about eight years ago - they removed all the new Hicap tubs and scrapped them all (they had stacks of them). I bought a new one off them for scrap value to replace my bashed one and they gave me quite literally a shopping bag full of Hicap fixings and brackets. My Hicap is long gone but I am sure I still have the bag of fixings but am away until next week.
