So I’ve just welded in some plates to the front of the 130 HCPU second hand tub, I managed to get hold of about 4 months ago. It was not easy due to the welds continually cracking due to expansion issues, but I got there in the end.
I’ve got a bit more to do tomorrow (21/06/22) and the weather is looking good, but I’m just wondering if anyone knows the official method for captivating the nuts for the brackets (KVU101420) on the front of the tub. Here is a photo of the bracket close to its final position. It’s the hole on the vertical face and the nut is captivated somehow in the channel. ![]() Click image to enlarge I could just weld a stainless nut to a small piece of 1mm plate and bend it round the panel to fit, but I was wondering what the official method was and if there is a, “captive nut” available.
