For the amount of miles I do in the series, I use Esso premium now as it's supposed to be 0% Ethanol. I've already lost one fuel tank to corrosion....

It could well be snake oil, but I've been using this mixed with E5 super unleaded in my 1939 MGTA and for my mowers.
https://www.toolstation.com/b3c-ethanol-sh...ser/p19760 Unfortunately we don't have an Esso station anywhere near, so I don't have access to ethanol free fuel locally. No idea if it works or not, but at least I feel as though I am doing something!!! My biggest concerns are the rubber fuel lines and carburettor internals on the MG as well as water separation in the fuel tank. Because the MG does very few miles, I'm putting a minimal amount of fuel in the tank now between journeys and carry a gallon of spare fuel in a can that I refresh regularly by using it my Subaru. I am less worried about the lead free aspect as the MG valve seat inserts were upgraded when it had a major engine overhaul a few years ago. |

Your biggest concern should probably be your fuel tank and possibly carburettor dissolving rather than the rubber parts.
This website https://classicenginesmodernfuel.org.uk/ makes interesting reading and the associated book (available from Amazon) does likewise. I had not realised just how corrosive ethanol plus water becomes. I don't really want ethanol anywhere near any of my petrol engines. |

I did see this a while ago and although it involves a bit of messing around, it could be a viable option for producing smaller quantities of ethanol free fuel.
I'm thinking instead of going with 10 litres fuel and 1 litre water, perhaps go 15/1.5 in the same sized drum. |
