Clutch pedal assist
Hello
I have seen a lot of the clutch pedal assist springs and was wondering if they make much of a difference on a 2.2 puma ?

Yes they do. They can be a Censored to fit but are a very worthwhile mod, particularly if you're likely to drive in traffic a lot. Some details of fitting to mine here:

For the full effect, go for the LOF clutch spring and master cylinder. The clutch is then light as a feather. Makes a huge difference and not an expensive job.

I just had the LOF pedal spring fitted to my 2.4 Puma and found it made a big difference. Everyone’s experiences differ, but in my opinion having it to light just wouldn’t feel right.

My local Land Rover specialist supplied and fitted it FOC, but I do frequent them often Ride like you stole it!!

I have a 2.2 Puma and I don't find the clutch too heavy. However, one of previous owners may have already fitted the LOF spring. I've no idea how to check.

Have a look at the return spring, at the top of the pedal, if it light green its a LOF one, if its not its not.

I did. I think there is something about it in my build thread. Was a bit of a pig of a job as it’s fiddling and you need arms like Mr Tickle for one bit, but Luke at LOF was superb, more than happy to call me to give me some guidance on a Saturday afternoon.

I fitted spring (git of a job) then the slave cylinder. Too light, and too little feel for me. Swapped slave cylinder back to an OE part.

Fitted my Lof spring today

Was a right pain but got it done

I’ve had to screw in my clutch stop bolt all the way , the clutch barely feels like it’s going to come back up.

Anyone else experienced this ?

Has anyone else had issues after fitting the spring ? Mine pauses at the bottom then returns

I hate adjusted the stop bolt at the back that didn’t make a difference , Luke suggest opening the master cylinder box and raising the pedal height. That’s made a slight difference but still not the best. I am tempted to put the original spring back In
