Folding side steps - STC7631 or LR020614 ?
I am trying to source some folding side steps for my 2014 90 HT.

Can anyone explain the difference between part numbers STC7631 and LR020614? I can see no difference online but some are titled as suitable for Puma only and some for all defenders.

Thanks in advance.

Just a change in the design. Same step really.
The ebay Britpart ones will all be the later moulded model but even cheaply made.
They all rust... Smile

Thanks, PCM. Very helpful.

Think I'm going to have to take my chances with the aftermarket LR020614 ones... genuine ones would be nice but almost double £'s from what I can find! Shocked

So to continue this... I ended up going for the britpart folding side steps from paddocks, fitted today and pleased with the result.

However I would be interested to hear if anyone has ever tried or has any info on the possibility of fitting genuine LR rubber treads to the britpart steps?

e.g. https://www.paddockspares.com/mtc3076-rubber-tread.html

All the best, cheers.

They all rust, and they all bend when you hit them on something, buy cheap ones and an annual dusting with a can of satin black aerosol paint is the best bet! ---

@UG2 the LR replacement rubber treads do fit straight onto the cheapie steps. And when the steps rust you can change them over. And over…..
