Landrover people
Following on from a successful meet at the west Berkshire brewery, we are going to hold our next meet at the classic car show in Yattendon as shown below. It’d be great to see some faces there, you just need to register your attendance at : entries@ycvd.co.uk or call 07774 257539. It would also help if you can post on here so we have an idea of numbers. Thanks and hope to see you there. Click image to enlarge Oh woe, oh woe My crusty old landrover, It will not go. |

An update on those thinking of attending the Yattendon Classic Car show on 26th June How will I spot the Defender 2 group if I have not attended the meets before? the organisers have kindly allowed us group parking together in the show field, if you wish to join us please enter using the following link,http://www.yattendonclassicvehiclecouk.com/entry-form.html It is free to enter. We as yet do not know which part of the field we will be in but there will be several 90s and 110s parked up together, I am going to try and get a Land Rover flag which will make indentification easier Timing: the organisers have asked that people with cars in the show arrive approximately 9.30 am - 11.30 to stagger the traffic flow on the local roads. currently the first of our group are aiming to arrive around 10 ish. The show finishes at 4 pm Food and Drink: a number of us are planning to take picnics, there will be onsite catering, afternoon teas will be available in the village hall, both the village pub and the West Berkshire Brewery are open , they do though get busy and it would be advisable to book a table if you wish to eat at either of these venues. Look forward to seeing you there Dave |

Thanks for the update - Much appreciated.
I'm planning on bringing a "flag of the union" AKA Union Jack about 2m x 4m if the weather is good, looks to be fair ATM. - Does anybody comming have/access a portable pole capable of of this size flag, about 4-5m tall? (Flag has brass eyelets, not toggle or lanyard) Zaid-M www.DefencePhotos.com 2014 Defender 110 Utility, 2.2 Puma, Indus Silver Not just transport more like a religion |

Hello All
Well what a day... fantastic low-key classic car show, with a relaxed vib, where it looked like many semi-serious 'circuit' show cars sat side-by-side with the 'amateur'-diy-enthusiast who (in my mind) managed to hold their own with vehicles maintained from a garden shed and a well stocked tool kit. Perfect Weather saw some attend who would otherwise not take their pride and joy out side... A great oh-so-English countryside location, with vehicles now fully encircling the village cricket green. The Organisers 'decision' so set aside a Land Rover Section within the show was well judged, with more than 25 lined up. Good to see a few D2N members and thanks to Wes & Clare for setting up 'Base Camp' attracting more than a few admiring comments (rightly so) on the Expedition Trailer (proudly wearing its built not bought sticker ) with some members of the public walking away with their minds 'changed' as to what camping could be. Definitely will be going back next year, for another 'grand day out'...
