Question, why doesn’t a company the size of Ineos work alongside the likes of Porsche and put their time and efforts in to working out how to scale up production of synthetic fuels so that we can continue to drive the vehicles we current have or own thus reducing the need to mine in out of the way places, exploiting the locals, tearing up their countryside for materials that at some point will run out and cause the battery market to drop off a cliff….

Put then that doesn’t help car manufacturers sell more cars and the credit companies dream of their bonus watching the interest payments flood in.

I think you will find that Ineos has feet in the hydrogen IC camp, so to an extent they are already there.

A utilitarian off-road capable EV is just what I’ve been looking for. If it’s priced right and isn’t some soft city SUV, this could be very interesting news for me. Honestly, after driving an EV for some time, and with current fuel prices, it would be hard to return to burning fossils.
