Reviving an old (and sad) thread, does anyone know what has become of Ken's 1949 Leyland Beaver EFE55 now?
It was advertised for sale in 2019 but I have no idea if it sold or not, and whether it is still in Germany or has moved on. I always felt it was a shame that a British collection (ideally such as Dunsfold) couldn't have acquired it. Mind you the advertised price in 2019 was probably five to ten times the real value of a classic HGV of that age, so it is quite possible it didn't sell. https://classicmoto.rs/auto/leyland-beaver-1949-TGSdch.html |

Landypoint are still featuring it as part of their museum project in Obere Donau - so probably not moved on. 2011MY 130 HCPU: daily driver
1979MY RRC 2-door: on the drive, in the garage & in a shed - all at the same time. |

Thank you, that would be understandable. £200k is an extraordinarily high price for a Beaver, even an iconic one.
I am glad it is safe and extant still. |
