United Kingdom 2006 Defender 90 Other HT Java Black
Recently bought a winchester TC w/ ATB
Morning all,

I bought a winchester transfer box ("Stage 2") months ago and for the life of me I can't recall if it has CDL and to be honest I wouldn't know how to check until its in my car.

I retained some parts from my old TC which was on exchange.

Could anyone help & point out to me if there is a thread already on people converting their non-difflock TC's to Difflock capable TCs

Cheers. 4.0 V8 Defender 90

Have you got a photo of the LT230? When viewed from above it is easy to see if it as CDL (or at least is a CDL casing) but as Ibexman says, if it was ordered for a Defender then it should have CDL as standard. 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

Thats good news, cheers guys.

I'll get a few photos of the top side this weekend.

All my kit isn't quite close to home at the moment. 4.0 V8 Defender 90

No, it’s the extension casing which forms the rear part of the gearbox.

Don't think so, its the 5th gear extension housing IIRC

It’s a separate housing on the back of R380s. The selector housing bolts to it.

I sent my box off on exchange and forgot to take it off lol…. 4.0 V8 Defender 90

It's part of the R380, if you'd taken it off your 5th gearset would have been on display.

On the MT82 the similar part is just an empty casing, but not on the R380.

thanks, they're looking quite difficult to get ahold of. I might just buy a box in full and strip it the parts. 4.0 V8 Defender 90
