HELP! Tyres in France
We are currently travelling through France and have had a puncture which is unrepairable, sidewall has gone.
We cannot find anywhere that stocks the ‘standard’ 235/85R16 size.
Is anybody aware of any landrover specialists near Chalon en Champagne, Nancy or Colmar

I could try and run without a spare but we have a 9 month old on board and I don’t really want to risk being stuck on the roadside.

Any advice or info gratefully received.

Thanks, Andy

If you can't get what you need you could carry a 7.50x16 or 265/75x16 as a spare, it would be of sufficiently-similar size to use as an emergency spare (but run it on the back axle only so any odd braking effects would be reduced).

Can you not phone a tyre place in advance, so in a town where you will be in 4days time, so they can get a tyre in for you?

Thank you all for your replies. We have made it safely albeit slowly to Colmar.
Have found a website that allows us to order tyres to be delivered to the local garage so should be good to carry on our camping holidays shortly.

l've never had a puncture on my Defender in around 150,000 miles of driving, you would have to be REALLY unlucky to get a second one during your holiday.
