Thanks a lot
The optimist in me has Saturday earmarked for fitting rear NAS lights, but the realist in me knows that Sunday's free too and I'm also on holiday next week Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? Hoping we could pick ours up.
Sadly the part hasn't arrived yet. While our 90XS loaner is very nice, we want our green giant back! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

It's back! Feeling pretty sorted, nicely cleaned.
Dirty secret though - I saw a met grey evoque at the dealers with all the toys and a black roof - it looked quite cool, especially inside... ***runs away*** Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

I'm a secret Evoque lover too... I'm waiting for them to release a special edition with mirrored windows so no-one can see me driving it

Heh, heh. Yes , there will be pics
They're actually high back second row seats although there's been a little development today that I think is worth sharing. I bought the seats from Trakkers - one of Exmoor Trims' agents. Because I'm replacing 60/40 split seats with three individuals, I've had to buy the frames too, which come in a separate slightly smaller box. However, when I picked up that box from my neighbours who'd signed for it, I discovered a big gash in the side and an awful lot of rattling. What I found when I opened it, along with the frames themselves, is a smaller box that contains the reclining mechanisms, various brackets and three packets of various nuts and bolts. That box was also damaged as were two of the packets, which meant that all of these small parts were rattling around loose and falling out of the hole in the side of the main box. I collected everything that I could find and counted it all up. Everything came to nice even numbers but there wasn't a detailed parts list so I wasn't sure if anything had been lost. I then e-mailed Trakkers, explaining what had happened and asked if they had a parts list I could check against. I first had an e-mail back this morning saying that they'd asked Exmoor to provide a list, which they'd send over later in the day. Later though, I had a second e-mail saying that Exmoor were just going to send me out a complete frame kit overnight so I'll have it for tomorrow, as it was the easiest way that they could be sure I have everything. They'll arrange for the other kit to be collected in due course. I only mention all of this because I'm extremely impressed with the level of service. Exmoor and Trakkers have done everything I could have hoped for to make sure I get the right kit, which I think warrants a mention given the tales of woe about poor customer service from other companies that seem to be all too common. Darren god luck with your seat upgrade. I did the same with my td5 but I fitted puma middle row because I liked the 3x3 point seat belts. do the exmore seats have 3x3 points now ?

I fitted some high back second row seats along with extenders and inward facing rears in my old TD5 110 some years back. Good seats.

Thanks. No, they don't have three point in the centre, but I can live with that for the amount of times it's likely to get used. They'll also bolt straight in (hopefully!).
Yeah, I think so too. The ones I've bought are in matching XS trim and were bloomin' expensive, so they'd better be! Those load area seats look nice - better than the OE ones. I'm taking mine out though as I really don't need them and I want to kit the back out for camping. I've got a dog guard to go in too. The load area seats were a lot better than the originals - my TD5 was a twelve seater when I bought it but the (then teenage) kids had no leg room and the low backs of the second row. Fitting seat back extenders and high backs sorted that but meant the original benches in the load area had to go so I went for the four inward facing ones at the same time. I also replaced the centre front seat with a cubby box so went down to nine seats. John

Well, it turns out my optimism was misplaced after all. It took me virtually all day just to take out the load bay seats I've now got two wheel boxes with more holes in them than Swiss cheese:
Click image to enlarge I did also remove the 2nd row seats, so I'm definitely going to fit my new seats tomorrow! Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |
