Thanks. So 300g co2 and 27mpg. Ouch. Have to admit I’d had thought it wouldn’t have been quite so bad….. my 4.4 twin turbo v8 diesel in the Range Rover gets better mpg and co2 lol

Looks great as a start.

It’s a heavy beast though at 2.7 tonnes so no wonder the MPG is poor.

At 3500kg it's also at the very top end of the weight for LGVs, it's almost into HGV classification. They need to re-work overall weight and look at a smaller capacity diesel for the UK and Irish markets or else it will be crippled on motor tax, emissions related import duties, vehicle registration tax, etc.

Benefit in Kind- BIK rates for company cars and vans is also now moving towards being priced against CO2 emissions from next year...again this 3ltr diesel will be a killer on BIK

20 years on and the Co2 and MPG are on par or greater than an EU3 spec Discovery 2 TD5... I'm not sure thats what I would call progress.

You could probably build a decent DIY Grenadier from a Disco 2 with an M57 and ZF 8 Speed....

This has really missed the boat I think… which is a shame. I love the look, the double rear door etc is brilliant. But sadly, I cannot see this being a utility based vehicle in 3rd world countries like they intended. Same as the new Defender, they aren’t cars you’ll have confidence in once the warranty has run out… 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.
