l've never liked the look of a black roof on any Defender, think carefully before specifying it. Later Defenders had black roofs and l thought it detracted.
My advice is go for a roof in the same colour as the rest of the Land Rover. And the Carpathian Grey would be a great choice!! Bonatti Grey looks good as well, with the advantage that it's an OE colour so would be an advantage if you ever decided to sell it. Buyers like originality. |

Thanks lightning for your helpful response, I did see a few pics of Bonatti Grey and liked it also. Looking quite a dark grey. Is the Bonatti Grey darker?

Hi,
Just stumbled upon your messages and yes.... I have a Carpathian Grey TD5 110 with Santorini Black roof. I really like the colour as it's genuine LR and really looks good on an older Defender. My wife has asked me to point out that she had the original idea for the colour!!

I would stay away from black roof due to the heat, and using my truck as kennel.

Ha ha, no she only has a 6 foot brother! LOL
Mine isn't satin, just regular finish but would love to see how yours turns out so make sure you share the pics! Will post some interior pics of mine soon as my Puma dash conversion is almost finished, but that's a whole story in itself! Happy weekend chaps! |

Definitely post the pics once doe. Booked in for start of July. In currently getting full Alive upgrade, new suspension and some bolt on's so looking forward to getting it back.
Any others out there with similar paint job? |

That 110 looks great....apart from the black roof !!
