[For Sale] Fox 2.0 Adjustable remote reservoir front shocks
Selling a pair ofmy fox 2.0 performance series front shocks. They have been fitted to the rear of my truck for less than 500 miles and were fitted in December. I fitted them to the rear using Gwyn Lewis pin mounts as this is what Gwyn recommended. However I’ve since shown prolinx the setup and he wasn’t impressed and has convinced me I should swap them for the eyelet type on the rear. Bloody expensive mistake. Big Cry

As new condition.
Fitted for less than 500 miles road use only.
The body and reservoir are wrapped in 3M ppf to protect them from wear and corrosion, this stuff alone was £50. (As I was going to keep them forever.)
The marks seen in the reservoir are just where the clamps have squashed the ppf.
All mountings and box included.
Picture shown how they were fitted to the rear of the truck.

£600 for the pair

EDIT: They also had the rubber boots on them from the get go however these arent included in the sale as i need them for the new set

Would be interested to know why prolinx advise against this. Gwyns setup is spot on and no issues. or is it to do with shock lengths compressed

Thanks

He doesn’t agree with any of it. He believes the Gwyn method with the centring washers actually hinders articulation. He has had an extreme case of a truck running the +2 version with no arbs and dislocation springs seen the pin snap off as they haven’t been designed for side loading on the pin. He did give me the option of drilling out the mount holes larger, fitting a longer top pin mount to the shock and fitting larger softer bushes to minimise any side loading on the pin. However to me this sounds like something which may help but isn’t a cure. It’s unlikely I would ever come into any issues as mine are standard height and I don’t have a flexy truck however I do plan to do fairly remote trips and the last thing I want is a snapped shock pin… it’s a replaceable part but it’s not something I want to deal with during solo travel. I could carry a spare cheapo shock but that defeats the point of having fox surely.

As I said these have barely been used so I hope they find a new home in the front of someone’s rig.

Ive just recently bought rear non adjustable foxes
I’m now looking to buy the fronts and noticed these!

Hmmmm! Any movement on price as I wasn’t planning to buy adjustables due to
The extra cost.

I paid circa £160 each for the rears from paddocks. 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold)

Ill send you a PM

Just thought I’d add some photos of the fronts so you can see how they look fitted.
