If you're just looking for a standard bumper then you can't go wrong with the galvanised version available from Paddocks for £72.

Im flabbergasted !!! A replacement part for a defender that looks good ,does the job and moreover is "reasonably priced" I think there must be a small tear in the fabric of the universe nothing else could explain this strange phenomena! |

Having had a cheap one last only 3 years I opted for one of these https://uproar4x4.com/products/land-rover-...8325905461 Far from cheap but excellent quality.

Galv FTW. Once it has weathered in and developed the flakey pattern they look great (And much 'harder' than those poncey black ones).

I'd echo LRAs recommendation ! My galv one from Paddocks is 12 years old and still looking good and rust free.

Anyone know who supplies a front bumper that is strong enough to take a towhook flange? I need it to manoeuvre boat trailers. I'd like the replacement to have the letterbox shaped LED slots so I can swop them from my existing bumper. Grateful for any ideas of suppliers, thanks.

I have this NATO ring compatible pin hitch on my Uproar front bumper for Sankey manoeuvring. I've put a stiffener plate inside to spread the load, but I suspect it'd be just fine for shunting with just thick M12 washers.
Uproar also do versions with DRLs: https://uproar4x4.com/collections/stainless-steel-front-bumpers. Click image to enlarge |

I have used the standard bumper for my 2 ton boat, but mostly on flat surface. My trailer has quite some tongue weight. I have also pulled in reverse a 1.5ton up a very steep incline (maybe up by 5ft in 14ft length) but the bumper was not so happy after that. But then increased the size of the load spreader (6mm steel plate that fits snugly in height) behind the bumper, and no further issues. Make sure your dumb irons are solid. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

I have just bought a galv bumper for my 59 plate Puma, which will make it the fourth bumper its had, as the last three have gone rusty. I was going to leave it galv, rather than paint it for a change of look. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....
