I thought you had melted rear lights so this suggest that it may well be the issue??

I believe its a standard unit, i am sure i have a spare one from the rover metro i had. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

i am working on diagnosing, trying to see if the problems are related, unplugging the trailer system. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

quick update on this, for anyone who has this problem,
i had a few metro flasher relays, put one on ( 3 pin), and it disables the trailer light, found my dads old unit, which is a 4 pin, and all is working as it should be.

So change the relay over Thumbs Up Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it!
