Loved this episode. Thanks for putting the time in to make these, Bruce. Incredible wildlife, good length of vids and a nice mix of sights and sounds along the journey and more nerdy technical stuff about the cars.

Given the wildlife, it's probably not the best place to push the cars to their limits and risk getting stuck, but it would be nice to see the Landy and Jimny on some more challenging terrain in future trips.

Keep up the great work!

thanks so much.

Our next big trip will be a bit tougher on the Landy. There will be lots of sand, some salt pans and probably many water crossing with camping in places that are totally wild with no facilities and lots of game including Lion, wild dog, hippo and elephant being able to visit the camps.. Please watch out for that one as it is going to be a proper test which i can not wait for.

(between then and now I will also be trying to learn more about video etc so hopefully there will be more improvements.) "Overlanding With Bruce" - Youtube https://www.youtube.com/@OverlandingwithBruce

Hi Bruce
Of course I enjoyed your last video. As always great landscapes and wildlife shots. Bow down
You don‘t need to apologize for not showing the trailer in this video. I‘m eagerly awaiting the next episode.
What‘s the name / brand of the seat protectors?
Thx a lot for your hints.
Cheers

Hi Bruce, tried your information on the seat belt alarm.
Worked, no more bing bing now if I don‘t habe the seat belt on (only for slow speeds and trailer hoocking).

Would anyone be interested in a short video showing all the mods i have done to my defender? These include, winch, drawer system with table and fridge slide, dual battery system, VHF Radio, seat covers and then a bunch of the standard LR accessories like skid plate, side steps, tow loops, etc? "Overlanding With Bruce" - Youtube https://www.youtube.com/@OverlandingwithBruce

I’ve done a few mods I thought I would share here. Also busy fitting a winch. The roof top tent is actually for my daughters Jimny, I’m just borrowing it for a trip in two weeks where I will be traveling to Zimbabwe and Botswana

hi Bruce. Great videos. I’d love to see one on your mods. I’m particularly interested in the dual battery setup (where you connected to the 12V and ignition sources and how you payed it out), the radio setup (again, routing and aerial mounting options) and the winch (did you do it yourself or pay for it to be done?). Looking forward to it.

Simon

thank you very much Simon.

I didn't instal it so I don't know to be honest but I will find out from the guy who installed it. He has done all my vehicles in the past and the only one I trust.

I have covered some of it in the past but wasn't sure how it will be taken or if there would be much interest if I do a ND only type video.
Take a look here for the VHF instal :

sorry. Tino my installer just replied. He said:

"our system senses according to the voltage when you start the vehicle.......but if he really needs to get ignition the best place is on the 12v socket on the left of the boot/trunk"

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you need more info.

If anyone would be interested in a video solely cover the Defender and its mods please let me know what you would like to see, so I don't miss anything out.
