Hi Folks,
has anyone of you ever fitted a fuel cooler guard to his Td4? I am actually asking about these metal cases that are meant to protect the fuel cooler! As I am not quite sure I would appreciate it very much indeed if someone could take/provide a picture/drawing of how it should be fitted! Thanks in advance! Best Regards, Axel |

I have one fitted as well.
I am sure it has saved me from a few problems when I have been offroad, if not it has been peace of mind Ten minute job to fit and I am sure somebody has posted pics of one fitted somewhere. Edit - found the thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic1697.h...oil+cooler Bob |

Agree with you BP Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge But you need to install this ONE Otherwise you need to remove the protection or scatter the oil everywhere Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition IID Pro MV License Last edited by dgardel on 19th Oct 2011 7:10am. The Entreq solution surely looks very neat and well made!!!
However, I am always slightly sceptical when it comes to covering the underfloor of a 4x4 with large sections of metal sheet .... On the one hand it, of course, offers protection but on the other hand it may considerably increase the weight of the vehicle, usually gathers quite a quantity of mud, dirt and stones, makes it more difficult to clean, check and maintain the actual underfloor and is sometimes even detrimental to ventilation and heat transfer ..... I am - sort of - slightly undecided here ..... Best Regards, Axel |

why not? ARB mounts in same place to chassis so the bar is unchanged. that looks more limiting that the guard to me. unless you meant the ARB on the first instance. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |
