It'll be the tyres. A few years ago I had a 110 that came fitted with Wrangler MT/R's and they were so noisy that it upset my children
Very good off-road though Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

Thanks for your post. Very nice car - pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. As per my second post, I have £18k. Is that what you would call sensible? chopdogs |

Not much use to you Chopdogs but I have just found a 2008 (57 plate) 90 hard top, 37,000 miles for less than £11K including VAT. Located a fair distance from me so I can't view it easily to find out what the catch is
There are bargains out there if you are patient. Bob |

TJ - I'm amazed at how little extra they are over standard boosts too! Shame buying them as a stand alone is comically expensive or I'd have some like a shot. In fact I'm still tempted... Buying a Defender at present:
"Oooh they are very rare sir and hold their value like nothing else." Selling a Defender at present: "Hmm, a bit specialist sir, we'd struggle to move that on and there's a bit of rust underneath. We'll give you a tenner." Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

From memory, a £300 option,,when i ordered the last 110 Plus, then bought a set of Boost / Conti take offs, to fit on the 110, come sale time, and keep the Dual Tones for the next one,, works out a lot cheaper than a outright buy California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

They are called Dual Finish alloys VPLDW0001YCM and I think they are about £750 as an optional extra unless a branch franchise manager made a mistake and sold them with the vehicle when it should have had Boosts on it "Your right sir, it should have boosts on, oh well they are yours now, nothing we can do about it, the manager has signed the vehicle off as it is" They look nice but the diamond cut is not as robust as the Boost type (would scratch and show up scratches more!)- I prefer Boosts and think they look better than the Dual Finish, the latter are a bit too bling for me! Hmm maybe not, they do look nice.... Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Last edited by Zagato on 18th Oct 2011 6:35pm. look at them and they scratch, they are not as durable as boost alloys but easier to clean (interesting bmw decal over the doors Tim ) Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Just checked the new price list for the dual finish alloys and it seems they only come with anti roll bars too! So a lot of money. The dealer told me about £250 extra the other day.
http://www.landrover.com/content/gb/en/PDF...11_GWS.pdf Less robust than Boosts though?! Is that possible?! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |
