put some grease on the tap and only go a few turns at a time before removing it and cleaning the swarf of, repeat until done. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

As above the grease trick works a treat. Nice thick grease no cutting oil required
![]() If you are at all concerned tap the hole, clean the hole with brake cleaner, let it all settle, drain the axle oil and refill. Belts and braces but it will limit the swarf even further. ![]() |
